There are tons of credit card offers at 0% on transfer balances, is this the way to go? I know, read the fine print…..What’s the most logical way?

I need to improve my credit so I need a credit card…but have no credit, just a car note.

I’m interested in applying for a department store credit card like Carsons, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. However, my credit is not all that great right now but I would like a chance to RE-BUILD it. I have some credit, but not a whole lot. My credit score is 628. I also have a delinquncy with Chase, which I am trying to pay off now, but I want to get a different credit card in the mean time to make payments on that to increase my score.
So what are some credit cards that will approve almost instantly with a credit score like that? I just want to get it to improve my credit.
