I would like to pay off most of my credit cards. This will enable me to balance my budget better.
Not necessarily. Many times they use a different address and the notices go there.
The only way you would find out is if the credit company does a search and finds your real address, then they might, or might not, send notices to your home.
People move all the time and the bank just uses the address reported on the application. If you were to move you would have to contact your legitimate creditors and tell them your new address.
If a credit card company wins a judgment, will they use my other credit card balances to pay theirs?
I realized that no matter how much I have in my bank and in my wallet… I am still broke! My cash in my wallet is about $5 and my bank has about $1200. But my total debts in credit card and home loan is about $390,000. Therefore, $1205 minus $390,000 is how much I really have. I seriously am broke! How about you?
My mom has a credit card and got a letter from them saying they will increase her APR from 20.74% to 23.99%.
Also on it, it says we can reject the changes, but they will close the account. Can we still pay the bill by installment using the old rate? And plus what other disadvantages are we not seeing here if reject the changes?

Please let me know. I think it it was former President Bush or Reagan that repelled it.
I have a business but need financing to fund the venture. I was told to form the business and then go to the bank. I went looking like a total idiot. I have bad credit, no money, no collateral. The Rep told me that I have to have great business credit and to come back when I have a 80 Paydex score. I left thing WTF. Please help!
I have the Citibank Platinum Dividend (not the Student version) card with a 18.99% interest. I think it is ridiculous to have a 18.99% APR. I have a great credit history although it is rather short (I am 21/student and started this card at age 18).
I have never been late and I always pay in full so it never really mattered to me. But I feel, after proving myself a responsible credit user for 3yrs, they should cut me some slack. My credit limit goes up every few months (almost $20,000 now) but the APR never goes down!
I called about it and they said there is nothing they can do now but call again in 2 weeks. This is the only request I’ve made in 3yrs. Should I just dump Citibank and go with another bank? I’m afraid my credit score would go down since this is my longest-running card.
