I want to go to school soon to major in comp sci but not sure how expensive the classes are. How do you apply for student loans and do they generally accept everyone? do they also cover the cost of dorms?

My student loans covered EVERYTHING…classes, fees, dorm, and all. Could have covered books, too, but I bought those out-of-pocket. I worked on campus, but only for pocket money.
Just about anyone can get them, all you have to do is keep up with your studies. There are limits on how much you can get, though, so don’t go splurging (BTW, if you get more loans than you need, the college will refund the difference to you…..of course, you have to pay the loan, no matter what you spend the money on).
As far as how to get, most colleges have financial aid offices. Speak to them, and DO EXACTLY AS THEY SAY. Fill out the proper forms, and TURN THEM IN ON TIME.
Remember, the college has a vested interest in keeping you there….if you are not in a class, they make no money. So they will bend over backwards for you if you will try.
Good Luck!

If you stay on campus, that cost will be factored into your student loan amount. Beyond the cost of classes, housing, and a meal plan, you’ll be responsible for costs. However, you may qualify for a work study program.
